ST. CROIXSt. Croix is one of the U. S. Virgin Islands located in the Caribbean Sea. Since it’s a part of the United States, U.S. citizens can travel there without a passport. The island has 2 cities; on opposite sides of the island; Christiansted; where I lived; and Frederiksted. The island has a Dutch and West Indies influence which can still been seen everywhere on the island, from its food and building architecture. While, you are there, be sure to try Crucian Rum. If you prefer to swim, scuba dive, or snorkel, St. Croix is definitely your place to travel. St. Croix offers snorkelling and scuba diving boat trips to coral reef sites and for a short boat ride, you can snorkel in the pristine, crystal, clear waters of Buck Island. Buck Island is on the National Historic Park list and worth a visit. St. George Village Botanical Gardens is beautiful and worth seeing as well. Afterwards, be sure to stop at one of the many beach bars and cool off with a cold drink. St. Croix offers something for everyone.

TurkeyTürkiye is best known for its rich history and culture dating back over 4000, to the Ottoman Empire. Turkey is the only country that spans two continents-Europe and Asia. Istanbul is arguably the most visited city within Turkey to visit by tourists and foreigners alike. However, there are other lovely cities worth a visit as well. Izmir, is the third largest city in Turkey, on the Aegean Sea, which boasts of a modern, friendly atmosphere with delicious, fresh food and locals to welcome you. Cappadocia, which is famous for its hot air balloons and cave rock formations, is a natural wonder of the world, and a must see while you are here. To the north, there is Rize and Trabzon, on the Black Sea Region. It’s well known for harvesting the black tea, which flows endlessly within Turkey. The rolling green hills and snow peaked mountain tops, make it worth a visit as well. And speaking of tea or çay, in Turkish, one can never have enough tea or coffee in Turkey. It’s a part of life and the culture here. Turkey offers everything from the mountains to sea. There is so much to do and explore here. Once you come, you may find it hard to leave.

LONDONLondon, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, has a history dating back to Roman times. The city centre is known for its historical sites, such as The London Eye, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Houses of Parliament, and Buckingham Palace. Whether you fancy sightseeing or museum hopping, London, is your city. There tons to do and see. If your not a city person, the country side can be reached by a short train ride. I attended university in Norwich, which was a 2 hour train ride to/from London. It stops in other villages, which you can get off and explore the city for a day. While you are there, be sure to pop in for a cold pint and fish and chips. There’s always a pub wherever you go. The people are friendly and welcoming, as is the grub. If you fancy an authentic Indian curry, London is your place. Or if you prefer Chinese, be sure to hit up Chinatown. There’s something for everyone and definitely worth a visit.
